Pray for peace. Be at peace.

Monday, July 7, 2014

Today's thought:  Pray for peace.  Be at peace.

We are all, individually and collectively, responsible for peace, or the lack of it, on the planet.  We contribute to peace on a daily basis with our thoughts, words, and actions.  Whatever we think, say, or do affects us first of all and most of all, and then goes out into the atmosphere attracting like thoughts, words, and actions, returning them to us on an individual and collective basis.  We are all responsible for peace or the lack of it.

Wishing you blessings beyond measure and peace, joy, and love, always.

God everywhere.

Sunday, July 6, 2014

Today's thought:  God everywhere.

From the writings of Paramahansa Yogananda:

"Keep a pure mind and you will find the Lord ever with you.  You will hear Him talking to you in the language of your heart; you will glimpse Him in every flower and shrub, in every blade of grass, in every passing thought."

From the beginning, and without end, God everywhere and in every thing.

Peace, joy, and love, always.

Right here, right now.

Saturday, July 5, 2014

Today's thought:  Right here, right now.

We live in  sea of miracles and still look for signs and wonders.  God is right here, right now, above us, below us, beside us, around us, and within us as breath and life.  Wherever there is life, there is god.  Whether we are with Him or not, He is with us.  There is no place where God is not.  Always and forever, God is right here, right now.

May your lives be filled with blessings beyond measure, peace, joy, and love, always.

Freedom

Friday, July 4, 2014

Today's thought:  Freedom

Whatever your plans are to celebrate Independence Day, take time to remember all those who sacrificed their lives for the cause.  Each of those men and women was someone's child, someone's brother or sister, perhaps someone's spouse, someone's father or mother.

Remember all who have served, all who have suffered, those who returned, and those who did not. Remember them all.  Bless them all.  Pray for them all.  Each of them played a vital role in keeping us free.   And millions paid the ultimate price for the freedoms we enjoy.

Remember, and be grateful.

Peace.  Joy.  Love.

Inner Guidance

Thursday, July 3, 2014

Today's thought:  Inner Guidance

All that has been created has been created to serve us, not to master us.  All is for our good, if it is used for good purposes.  Unless we are children, none of us needs to be told by another what is good for us and what is not.  Our own inner Self gives us that message, if not with a loud shout then with a vague uneasiness that will not be quieted or dismissed.  If we constantly need to rationalize our choices and behavior, we can be sure ego is in control.  If our minds and hearts are at peace as we go about our daily activities, then we can know that we are following the guidance of our own indwelling Lord and all is as it should be.  The choice is ours.  God is always there, guiding us, loving us, but the choice as to whether we will listen and allow ourselves to be guided, is ours alone.

May your lives be filled with blessings beyond number, peace, joy, and love.

God first.

Wednesday, July 2, 2014

Today's thought:  God first.

Mistakenly we sometimes believe that to choose God first means to give up everything else whereas, in reality, to choose God first guarantees the receival of everything else for our highest good.  How many times do we limit God by giving Him man's attributes, constricting them even more by our own limited understanding and consciousness.  We sacrifice limitless good and deny ourselves infinite joy, peace, love, and wisdom when we lose sight of the fact that God is greater than man's comprehension of Him.

"But seek you first the kingdom of God and all these things shall be added unto you."  Matthew 6:33

Wishing you blessings beyond measure, peace, joy, and love.

Tea-bag philosophy

Tuesday, July 1, 2014

Today's thought:  Tea-bag philosophy

We can learn something from everyone and everything when we take the time to observe, read, and/or listen.  I sometimes save the little tags that come with some brands of tea, and put them in a place where I will see them every day, so that I will absorb the message.  Two of messages I wanted to become a part of me are:

"Those who live in the past limit their future."  It is so easy to blame someone/something from the past for our present condition, and so important to learn what we can from the past and move on.   The past is gone; that ship has sailed.

"Be kind to every living thing."  Every living thing was once a thought in the mind of God, and has the breath of life within it.  Be kind, especially to one another.  We all need kindness in order to grow and become our best selves.

Take care.  Love you,

Zizi
