Today's thought: Peace
"Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Thee." Isaiah 26:3
As we go about our daily lives, let us keep a small part of our mind on God, mindful of the many blessings we are receiving on a moment-to-moment basis. When we are mindful that with Him, all things are possible and that without Him, life does not exist, somehow all that is ours to do gets done more easily and more smoothly, and there is time enough to do it all.

Today's thought: Health
They say there are four things in our lives that affect our health more than our DNA, and those are: food, environment, personality and stress.
We are all influenced by our surroundings and especially vulnerable as children. Our thoughts affect our bodies.....and it may be that, if we think and feel the same as our parents, our thoughts and feelings will affect our bodies in the same way as our parents, and their illness(es) become our illness(es).
We are told that thoughts and words create. Is it possible that illnesses 'run in the family' not only through the blood but through the mind?
Wishing you the blessing of mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual health every day of your life.....and peace, joy, and love, always.

Today's thought: As within, so without.
We see what we are. We feel what we are. We only recognize what we are. That's why perceptions are so many and so varied. And that is why when we are in a higher state of mind everything has its own beauty, and we understand that, despite appearances, all is in Divine Order for the highest good of all.
Earth is a learning-and-growing planet for everyone who walks it. Everything is within us and outside of us. We get to choose what we want to learn, who we want to be, the path we want to follow.....and to choose a different path if and when we want to. We have more control that we realize. We are not victims of a capricious act of God. We are co-creators of our lives. We have the power to change, and the courage to endure. All we need is within us. All we have to do is understand that, believe that, and draw whatever we want from the Source within us, the God who created us and gives us life.

Today's thought: Changes
Everything changes, everything ends. All is always in a continual state of change, and so it follows that all is always in a continual state of ending through evolving. Moment to moment, continual changing; moment to moment, continual evolving. With patience and grace, we see the cycles of birth, growth, what we call 'death', and rebirth. The flower blooms again; the tree grows taller, and we are ever closer to enlightenment and the perfect Oneness with God.

Today's thought: Advice
In my experience, it seems best not to give advice unless asked to do so. And, even then, before you answer, ask yourself two questions: 'Is this my business?' and, 'What is my intent?'
Sometimes those who ask are looking for confirmation of their own thoughts and actions. Sometimes those who answer are defending their own thoughts and actions.
Within the quiet center of each of us, lie all the answers to all the questions we will ever ask. Be still, and listen.
And, as you can so plainly see, that is my unasked for advice.

Today's thought: Forgiveness
While on the cross, Jesus said, "Father, forgive them for they know not what they do." Luke 23:34
At any given moment in time, we can only act according to our understanding at that time. When we know better, we will be better, and we will act better. We don't look at this as an excuse to behave irresponsibly. We look at this as the reason to learn more, that we may understand ourselves more fully, forgive ourselves and others more readily, and achieve our oneness with the Father more quickly. Nonforgiveness of self and others is a roadblock on our path to enlightenment.

Today's thought: Creation and evolution.
We cannot separate creation and evolution. From the moment of creation, every living thing is evolving on a moment-to-moment basis into a new and different creation. The flower does not spring forth from the earth in full bloom, and we do not suddenly appear on the earth as mature adults. Everything changes and, in our view, everything cycles, everything ends. The only visible constant is change; the invisible constant is God and His love for us and all life.

The following prayer was found written on the wall in Mother Teresa's home for children in Calcutta.
"People are often unreasonable, irrational, and self-centered. Forgive they anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives. Be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies. Succeed anyway.
If you are honest and sincere, people may deceive you. Be honest and sincere anyway.
What you spend years creating, others could destroy overnight. Create anyway.
If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous. Be happy anyway.
The good you do today, will often be forgotten. Do good anyway.
Give the best you have, and it will never be enough. Give your best anyway.
In the final analysis, it is between you and God. It was never between you and them anyway."

Today's thought: What if...
What if there really is a universal law of attraction, and whatever we think, speak, and do returns to us in kind?
It would then be in our own best interests to think positive thoughts of peace, joy, love, and health. We would forego idle gossip; we would speak encouraging words to those who need them; we would, in all things, be constructive rather than destructive.
Why not act as if there really is a universal law of attraction and send out only good, so that only good will return to us. In doing so, we will live our best possible lives.

Today's thought: The key to what we want.
The key to what we want is in being happy with where we are, and holding the vision of where we want to be. When our minds are calm and content, we are open to new ideas that, when put into motion, will bring us what we want.
Think about it in this way: like attracts like. When we are unhappy, there is the tendency to think other unhappy thoughts, past or present, and we attract others that will support those unhappy thoughts with their own. It is the only thing that can happen.
The Universe is filled with endless possibilities for all of us. I love the quote from Abraham-Hicks: "Hold the vision. Trust the process." Trust our loving, Father God. With Him, all things are possible.

Today's thought: The key to what we want.
The key to what we want is in being happy with where we are, and holding the vision of where we want to be. When our minds are calm and content, we are open to new ideas that, when put into motion, will bring us what we want.
Think about it in this way: like attracts like. When we are unhappy, there is the tendency to think other unhappy thoughts, past or present, and we attract others that will support those unhappy thoughts with their own. It is the only thing that can happen.
The Universe is filled with endless possibilities for all of us. I love the quote from Abraham-Hicks: "Hold the vision. Trust the process." Trust our loving, Father God. With Him, all things are possible.

Today's thought: Honor the ancestors.
Today we have life and all of its hopes, and dreams, and possibilities because of our ancestors. Without them, none of us would exist. Regardless of what we think they should have done or didn't do, they did the best they could with their level of understanding at the time and, today, we have life!
In honoring the ancestors, we honor life and we honor ourselves. We have the ability to make all of our dreams come true, if we want them enough to work toward them.
Wishing you an open mind and a loving heart that honors your ancestors...and peace, joy, and love, always.
