Today's thought:  Peacemakers

The subject of peace comes up frequently on these postings.  When we become peacemakers, we heal  ourselves and the planet.

The following is taken from Unity's Daily Word booklet, 10/30/14:

"One of the most vital messages Jesus shared was a simple invitation to be a peacemaker.  "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God."  Every person is created of God with the potential to be a peacemaker.  We have spiritual power and through our peaceful thoughts, words, and actions, we can create a peaceful world.

"Whatever may be occurring - near to me or across the globe -I maintain an awareness of peace.  The peace of God can be known and recognized in all situations and is brought into expression as serenity, trust, goodwill, and friendship.  Through prayer, I strengthen my practice of peace.  I think peace, speak peace, and act in ways that foster peace.  I am a peacemaker."

"Blessed are the peacemakers." Matthew 5:9
